In the Library

As a child I loved going to the library. We would visit weekly from school and whilst we had the opportunity to explore lots of different books I would have the same one on perpetual loan. I absolutely loved the Millie Molly Mandy omnibus by Joyce Lankester Brisley. For those of you unfamiliar with the stories, Milly Molly Mandy with her little friend Susan and Billy Blunt have all sorts of fun experiences together - throwing a party, going blackberry picking and running errands just to name a few. I would really encourage you to pick up a copy. I have a feeling you may just enjoy the short stories as much as I do.

These happy memories about going to the library are why I’m so thrilled that our local library kindly agreed to accept a copy of my first book for their collection. I really hope that children enjoy borrowing and reading The Ball Under the Chair as much as I enjoyed reading Milly Molly Mandy.

If you are not already a member of your local library I would really encourage you to join. Books are a gateway to learning, adventure, imagination and inspiration.
